Blushing Princess

A picture perfect peony! Raised from a seed by David Reath which he had received from Prof. A.P. Saunders. David Reath named this beauty 'Blushing Princess', and it was registered with the APS by Alan Rogers. Flower form is nearly double, color is an exquisite blush pink, fading to white. The many rings with flower petals are often centered by white petals, often making it appear a full double rose type flower. Stems are exceptionally strong, thick and never fail. Huge leaves of a medium green colour. The nice flower production and perfect bush habit make it one of our favorite garden peonies, and it certainly would make a fine cut flower as well. With 'Blushing Princess' as a perfect Mom, there is absolutely no coincidence involved with her fine offspring such as 'Carnation Bouquet' and 'Pink Vanguard'. We are so thrilled about this variety that we could go on and on about this one...!
